Are you wearing sunscreen right this minute? You probably should be. Even if you’re indoors, chances are there’s a UVA wave heading for your epidermis.

And if you think UVA is nothing to worry about, think again. The two types of ultraviolet radiation, UVA and UVB, damage the skin, age it prematurely, and increase your risk of skin cancer.

I believe a good SPF is the most important part of your daily facial routine.
This Argan Oil Facial Moisturizer with SPF 30 from @100percentpure is a great option. It is infused with nutrients such as Argan Oil, Rosehip Oil and Green Tea to soften and nourish skin. In addition to protecting against the sun’s UV rays, it also provide protection against environmental damage to the skin.

It has no comedogenic ingredients, the oils are balanced with Linoleic and Oleic oils so you will not break out or mess up the natural chemistry of your face.

It contains zinc oxide so it leaves a white residue (that will eventually fade away) and it’s a little hard to blend but it works great if you mix it with your daily face oil/serum.

The latest research suggests the relatively ignored spectrum of ultraviolet A is an important co-contributor to skin cancer production, says associate professor Greg Goodman, chief of surgery at The Skin & Cancer Foundation Australia.
It’s a deeply penetrating wavelength responsible for much of the photo damage and photo aging seen in middle-aged and elderly people. If you’re not up to speed on the difference between UVA and UVB, here are a couple of pointers. UVA has a longer wavelength, travels through glass and damages collagen, speeding up the ageing process. On the other hand, UVB is shorter, penetrates only through to the epidermis, and causes sunburn and cancerous changes.

Choose a sunscreen that has broad spectrum protection against both UVB and UVA rays, as both forms of UV light can cause skin cancer.

Photo aging is a process of aging caused by UVA and UVB exposure. Major symptoms of photo aging include spider veins, loss of color in lips and wrinkle formations.

  1. Thank you for stopping by mine 🙂
This mineral sunscreen looks great~ Some of the plant extracts in there can be potentially irritating, but as it does not specify the concentration, I think it should be alright~ May I just suggest not to mix it with your serum/oil in lest of diluting the SPF, but to add a tinted SPF to it to minimize the whitecast? Hope you don’t mind this little thought >.<
    Cheers 🙂
